machine the head and lap the block, just to be sure. I got away with hand lapping the block in tthe engine bay, but if its out then go ahead and take it to the machine shop. the head and block (doubtful but possible) could still have warped without a BHG.
this is true, surface area does help with FMIC, not only direct airflow.

i agree, since the air pre-throttle and post-throttle are both comming from the same place. It would still be interesting to know how the designer intended it to be installed.
The pictures of the install at the beggining of this thread show the temperature sensor welded into the 3000 pipe, is this the best place for it, or is it better at a post-throttle body position?
