yea, I want to just take the cap off, but its not leaking right now and thats just one more thing for me to screw up. I'll try any little tricks to get it out.
I know what you mean, when my car did it i was like WTF?!? I reinstalled my turbo timer, that didnt do it, i checked everything out. I was about to give up when i decided to re-set the ECU, that didnt do it.. then i was about to give up again, and i thought hmm maybe i should disconnect my...
Okay, I was wondering what is the best way to set up the PCV. There are a few things to take into consideration. The valve covers need vacuum, so no breathers (had to blow my cam seal to figure out why). The stock route clearly works, but there is a major vacuum leak from the port on the...
the exhaust cam seal popped right out, and thats definately where it was leaking from, but how in the hell am i supposed to get out the intake cam seal?
yea i saw where someone had used a 10 mm socket on those bolts, i ended up using that approach and it worked fine for me.. now i've got big troubles.. i'm an idiot and dropped a screw into the lower timing belt cover. Doh'
I was going to take advantage of having the weekend off, but thank you for the offer. If you could show me what i need that would be great! No rush tho, I work tonight so i wouldnt get started removing the cams until tomomrrow morningish. once again thanks!
Okay, i have a few quesitons.
1) Do i have to remove the valve covers to do the cam seals?
2) How do i remove the cam gear without it moving? Whats the best way?
3) If it were the cam bearing shell leaking, wouldnt i have oil behind the metal plate between the valve covers and the cam gears...
okay i found the leak, and now its really pouring out.

I've never heard of...

The past couple days i've had a very strange oil leak. It seems to be very unpredictable. I know that my hose from my valve covers down the the block is cracked at the top, this leads to a small ammount of oil on the driver's side of the block. The real problem is the leak near the timing belt...
