My last build was an 87 hardtop that was N/A and then swapped to 7mgte with basic bolt-ons. I’ve always wanted a targa and that 7m blew a hg so I started parting stuff of the motor and found this white targa 87 on craigslist...
Me and a few buddies was just talking around and the topic for the most cost effective way to build a low 11 second car that you can drive to the track, change tires and run a pass.
Most of them said foxbodies are the cheapest and best way.
some even said civics, gutt them out, do a swap...

Well I've been lifting on and off for 2 or 3 yrs starting back in highschool. Put on a good amount of muscle but then started slacking and lost it all. Smfh. Now im gettin it all back and read an interesting article in the news paper...
looks like you made your decision by looking at what you did to your 7m. But yea i might be different and stay with the 7m. It seems like all high hp mkiii's are all jz nowadays.
nice project. i did my gte swap the beginning of the summer. didnt last too long due to the fact that i found out the motor i bought was shot and bhg shortly after and warped the head, but man oh man boost is fun lolz. Im looking for a rebuilt 7m now or one from a reputable store. Good luck...
threads like this is what makes me contemplate on keeping the 7m or going jz. Thank you for making me stay up at nite and get no sleep for at least another month, pricing parts, doing research and trying to make up my mind on building up a 7m or doing a swap lol. Dam i love the mkiii supra...
yes, yes it can, that is the truth, alot of lil things come up, and things you have to work out when pulling and changin motors. Alot of troubleshooting as well if it decides that it doesnt want to start.
