cool the gte hardtop is down and actually for sale so ill be there in my completly stock 87 targa white 5spd n/a. Glad to see im not the only n/a that will be there. It probrably wont be stock when i come down tho.
Another idea that i saw was going around on the last supra meets was ppl...
thats why its hideous. With that kind of power your making that slow of a time. In the article he did admit to spinning down most of the track so just some stickier rubber and more seat time he should be good to go. But back to the tranny and gearing. That has to be an aftermarket diff rite?
http://www.turbomagazine.com/features/0801_turp_mark_iii_3_toyota_supra/carbon_fiber_bonnet.html
in the article it stated that with the r154 transmission he hit 55 in first, 90 in second and 125 in third? if it is a r154 trannny that what kind of diff does he have?
No problem, ur not off the hook yet tho. Was it standing still or you started rolling? Sometimes non lsd rear ends have lsd characteristics randomly. One last test is when u jack up the rear off the car and spin a tire. If the other tire spins in the same direction then you have a lsd. If it...
well i think if i recall correctly the non turbo sport package had tems and headlight washers and its way to identify it by the vin. But the fun way is to get in the car do a standstill burnout. if both tires spin then it has a lsd, if you only see one tire mark then its open. Both can handle...
the rear end will hold the power. Unless ur launcing the car on the strip with slicks on and alot of power then ill need a diff upgarde. But which rear end are you ragarding? the non turbo sport 4.30 lsd rear end or the regulat non turbo open rear end?
what type of paint do u use when painting the interior? Thinking of painting my grey leather interior black since the car will be getting painted black soon
thanks, on the craigslist posting i didnt even knew that it was leather, just knew that it was grey and targa. Once i saw the leather and how nice it was in i was in  Eventually it will be black. Ive always wanted a black on black leather targa so that is what this one will eventually be.
It was raining off and on today. I was on supramania forums looking at a few builds and came across hottscennessey white supra. I noticed how just by removing that ugly square non turbo brake light, it changes the look of the rear. I still plan on doing 89+ 3piece wing but for right now...
swapped the racing hart rims over to the white car. The red car had a drop of 1.2 so it looked semi good. This car is stock so with the 4x4 height, it just takes awat from the rims. Anybody selling h+r springs or b+g springs shoot me a pm
lol nice, i dont even know which company makes it. It came with my hardtop when i bought it from my cousin. If i look thru all of the receipts he gave me then i can probably find it but who ever makes it, it does its job. U can really feel the difference when its bolted and not bolted on.
Im looking to lower the car but would still like the factory smooth ride when going over bumps and dips in the road, nyc has alot of pot holes etc.
I'm debating on the eibach, h&r, and b+g springs. All of them are progressive but the h&r gives the lowest drop out of them all. Any members...
some more pics of the body damge and the first mod on the virgin supra
the stained paint
rubbing compound and wax took care of that.
swaped over my strut tower brace from the hardtop
it even has the plastic engine undercover underneath
exspect to get alot of pm's from me. Ive ben following your build. I may even go 1.5jz route as yourself.
But here are the pics of the virgin
The main reason behind it all. Finally i get a targa. And it doesnt even leak. Oh yes
Ill post of the 4 body flaws, 2 dents on each front...
