dose that one have the 12v switched and 12v battery leads open for other accessories? one of those could have contacted a ground and caused the short.

looks like youre going to have to take him to small claims court in order to get any kind of refund. there are ways to determine what was the cause of the turbo's failure, be it improper install, or improper machining or whatever.

well what the shop said was wrong with the turbo should be easily verifiable, and were not symptoms of a lousy install or abuse. it looks like MDC fucked up and they should do the right thing.

how did it cut with that saw? i always used a hack saw with pretty good results, but i saw on the earls site that they use a chissel and a hammer! still want my hood?

i didnt really want to relocate my battery either, but it turned out to be a must. First they made the pipe with the battery inplace, but when it came time to bolt up the AC lines..the IC pipe didnt fit. So we ended up having to relocate the battery to the trunk. oh well.

never go to that shop again.
