if you only told the guy to do the firewall then i would tell him to strip everything off and just take the car some where else. old cars have squeaks, but they dont come from the engine bay. they come from the rear hatch, loose inner trim, stuff like that. im sure hes billing you for all that...

its my understanding that the diesel engine was originaly designed to burn vegitable oil...only after the inventor died and developers backed by oil comapnies took over, was "diesel" fuel developed for their engine.

ive read your other thread where drj was trying to help and the only advice i could give would be to double and triple check your wiring. even if you have to put the car back to stock, get it running with the stock ecu, THEN try and install the map ecu2.

sorry i cant help but if youre considering selling the map ecu2 please let me know! otherwise good luck with your problem.

on my 91 i have to hold the handle up to lock the door. :dunno: i do have lexus lock cylinders though so maybe that has something to do with it.

be careful if you use head bolts not to mark the deck. ive always used bolts on the side of the block when the head isnt on the engine.

first was an 86.5 NA 5sp, swapped in the 7mgte. second and present car is a 91 originally auto NA swapped in a 1jz and 5 speed.
