csnow - any issues when removing the steering wheel? im going to be putting my momo wheel on soon, and was wondering if the ECU threw any shit at you because you delete the airbag.
Rims are rims, somebody tried to steal my brotheres a long time ago...
But i'll go find the key, and i'll ship it to you if necessary.
I'll be sure to send a picture of it first.
PM me though, no need to clutter this up.
How long will they be around? for a long time hopefully... there still a semi-new car, and you have a 91, so its a lot "newer" than an 86.5.... Why are you concerned though? you can get everything online.
where are you at in CA??
And you should look into getting the rod bolts replaced with...
Your clutch looks identical to my southbend one... even the pressure plate, just mine is red! haha
Sounds like a good project though, and you can google machine shops and then just call around and ask prices and what not...
why not rebuild the one you have.... just cut the crank .10 or .20 and then get the proper bearings and that way you have the proper clearance... rebuild it now, and it'll last... you have no idea what condition a "jdm" motor is in... and its cheaper in the long run to rebuild the one you have...
Whats a "jdm" 7m... lol
There all the same...
and i enjoy my torque. 7M > 1JZ
Plus i can just go down to autozone to get stuff.... try to get 1jz stuff through autozone or kragens. lol
I hope you have a lot of money if you plan on buying ALL new OEM hoses....
and its ATI Balancer...
and its way faster to talk to suprarich if you email him.
For the rods, his price is 450shipped, so i would defintaly get in touch with him.
post a picture maybe? i cant tell, sounds like the PCV line, or the BOV line... but i dont know.
and i wanna move up to amador county if thats all you do!!!!!
I got my shaft bearings from napa for 7.39 for both...
along with my injector o-rings, all 3, for 1.99 a piece.
Check the hoses to see if they have been replaced before, if there still good and rubbery then theres no need to replace a hose thats still good.
Where can you get an ATI...
Wait... iridium will "glow plug"... ?
What are you better off running then, copper or iridium? I know copper doesnt last as long as iridium, but, how bad do the iridium glow plug then???
uh... Make sure timing is right, dont have any large pre-o2 exhaust leaks, all intake piping is tight and secure. Possibly run some injector cleaner through it, uhh.... you "should" be ok, but it depends on how well the car was taken care of...
Isnt jackson pretty easy to pass smog?
Looks like your doing almost the same rebuild i am.
Although im going with Probe pistons, cheaper, and they dont slap with there specs either, plus they include rings.
I would get a 7m crank as its a full counter weighted crank and that "should" help bearing life when you start beating on it...
I'm sorry... but they had MAD SKILLS. haha
im sure you've all seen the videos of them on the highway with there sandals sliding going like 80/mph... crazy ass people.
Makes you wonder how much they pay for gas there, because they know how to BURN it.
