I honestly dont know how well it would bolt up. The only thing I could tell you to do would be to compare the parts and see. Perhaps you could figure something out.
Even with the AEM tach output settings adjusted, it is not perfect. The way I have it set now is as close as it is going to get. I will run a wire to the ignitor.
For the taillights I used a black toner in some PPG clear. It took about 4-5 applications of clear with each application consisting of 3-4 wet coats.
The last coat was not tinted - only clear.
Like the taillights? I didnt want to make them too dark but you can definately tell they are...
Thanks bro - super helpful. I was trying to move your posted screenshot around with the cursor bar in the pic. Im a dumbass. ....
Doesnt that plug also go to a noise filter attached to the ignitor? I will check it out tomorrow and possibly wire it up.
I thought that the output of the AEM...
I kept losing the key in the dark. Ha.
Sounds like im not getting too much love on the exhaust though - I must say that I hate the way the stock exhaust looks on the Sup. You know the look of the straight pipe that barely sticks out.
I saw a really nice 300z in Boise a few years ago. the...
Clipped is referring to trimming the turbine wheel to allow more exhaust gas to escape. Because the exhaust housing is so small on the CT26, some people do the clip as a band aid of sorts - it keeps the turbo from choking off the motor on the top end by taking some of it away and opening up the...
Keep in mind also that I have a totally customized 2jzge harness and that I have wired in a 1j/2j ignitor. I may have to take one of the ignitor outputs and run it to the tach?
I need more info - "small connector"? Are you talking about the connector that runs from the ECU to the speedo or a specific wire that runs out of the ignitor?
The speedo output seems to be about 500 high at idle when compared to the parameters window of the AEM. Im sure it gets worse with...
Yes, I know that I can change the output of the AEM tach signal in the parameters window, but it still will not read accurately. It reads high.
I am running a 2jz AEM box (1100) in a 88 Turbo MA70 chassis.
Anybody have any input on this? Do I have to wire in a signal adaptor to the AEM...
Resistance check w/ a multimeter isnt always accurate because the properties of the wires can change when you run all of that voltage through it.
You can always look at your plugs and see what the motor is doing.
How is your compression?
Just some advice from my experience - you will probably have to re-clock the flange for the wastegate-to-manifold and weld on a 90 degree cast elbow to the turbo compressor outlet. Be careful in how you do it though and dont do it until you have the motor in the car and secure. I had very little...
thanks for the comments guys.
Sorry if you hate the exhaust though - I like it and im married so its not like im trying to pick up chicks or anything LOL... Ill roll with it for awhile and if I dont like it I can always change it up. I mocked it up a few different ways. I wanted to show it...
