    LOL @ SF

Our local city car forum has over 40,000 members, and never has problems. The ONLY time it was ever slow was when it was featured on digg, and in the local newspaper the same day. And even then, they fixed it within a few hours. Plus, it has a search. I would really like to know how the...

stock 2jz IC setup on a mk3 pics??

It's close enough to work. I run a MKIV HKS intercooler in my MKIII, and all I needed were some custom mounting, and to trim the pipe for the intake manifold by like an inch.

    Making a living

3rd year Computer Engineering student right now. I do that full time. To pay for it, I work part time at a casino as a cash cage supervisor. $22/hr during the evening, $32/hr on overnights (I work 8 evening, and 4 overnight a month). Gets me through school debt-free.

    arg, my short shifter broke!

The bottom nut I'm referring to is the nut at the bottom of the thick part of the shaft. The bushing I'm referring to is the one the one the upper pivot sits inside. The shifter was new. I installed it, and drove it for about 3000 miles before it cracked.

    GT40 or 62-1

My GT40 was a little too laggy for my liking on my 1JZ. I would suggest the 62-1 (The GT40 on the 1.5JZ is perfect though :)) Ninja edit: 1000 posts :)

    FRICKEN MAP SENSOR!!!

I believe MR2 MAP sensors work too, but I'm not 100% sure on that. After 18psi, people usually upgrade to a GM 3-bar sensor. I personally use a Denso 3-bar sensor (plug and play), but it's REALLY hard to find them (so don't PM me about it ;))

If you need 3 walbros, maybe you should think about getting some higher quality/flow pumps instead :)

    arg, my short shifter broke!

Yeah, I'm not so sure about this shifter. I've been using it for maybe 3000miles now, and the bushing where the shifter seat sits in is already cracked from hard shifts into 2nd. I think I will just weld the shifter together. Unfortunately, It won't be dampened then. I'll post some pics up...

    arg, my short shifter broke!

I was changing the oil in my transmission this afternoon, I unbolted my Suprasport short shifter, and pulled it out, only to have teh top half of teh shifter separate from the base. basically the adjustable part came off. I tried putting it back on, but it was really loose, and I couldn't...

    1JZ Oil Pan Removal

as long as the oil pickup inside the pan is not pushed up against the bottom, it's fine. BTW, if you haven't, you should check out the Alberta Supra club, seeing as how you're in Edmonton. www.supraclub.ca

Manual Boost Controller, Boost Gauge & BOV ?

Yes, that's exactly what you do. As for the BOV, and wastegate, any vacuum line from the intake manifold will work.

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

So, back to the AR5 here for a second: limequat, when you had the two transmissions apart, trying to swap the rear housings over, did you happen to measure the shafts to see if they were the same diameter/spline? I would be very interested to see if we could install the triple cone synchro...

    Best tire and size?

A lot of people run those on stockers around here it seems. That's what I'm picking up in the spring for my car too. They fit pretty well.

    is it just me or...

You can just undo the top part of the intake manifold from the bottom, slide it back to reveal the rail, and pull the injectors out of the top with the 1JZ. Side-feeds are easy :) Hell, you can do it without even unbolting the manifold if you want. It's a little tight, but it is possible.
