I used a dg528 at cylinder #5.
But in retrospect, and in all truth, you can run all dg500's, and just cut down the length of the throttle backet's rear bolt post.
It really doesnt need to be bolted there for rigidity. I ended up not using a bolt there after all.
Well, the cop is oem friendly, so no issues with spark, as far as i can tell. Im not yet modifying timing with the maft pro, so we'll have to wait and see.
All I've done to the car lately, is track down and kill a few leaks, and i retorqued the head gasket as well.
Sounds to me like bryan is right. Your cps is off. It WILL run a tooth off, but it will stall, bog, and backfire when the throttle is held down. Reinsert your cps.
Well, not much has been done lately.
I've been working alot, and only had a couple hours today to play with it, so I worked on the evap cannister.
Cut the original mount, and welded the smaller bracket to it.
Then installed it.
Also, I pulled the car out of the garage, changed...
I think if the tps has a bad IDL contact, this can cause the IACV to remain inoperative.
But i dont know if a bad tps would cause stalling, just a 'hunting' idle.
Test your tps via the TSRM procedure.
I dig the all-stainless weighted knob. :)
Today, I received my new carpet, and began fitting it. It's a bit of work, but I'm more than half done at this point.
