Looks somewhat like mine. :)
Today I transferred my dash harness over to the new dash.
And yesterday I started my engine for the very first time since I assembled it a year ago.
Riiiight.
Nah. This car won't be on the road till its painted.... sometime around 2018AD.
Update- I transferred over my harness to the new dash, so that can be installed this week.
Dm changed their site a couple weeks ago.
And I agree with you- a good pressure plate(but not that extreme 3200 crap) plus a decent disc will hold alot of power.
Yeah- That would mean that either a cable was bad or one of the contact points of the cable.
And oh yes- The starter is one of the top 3 PITA projects with a Supra.
Um. I've never had my negative cable bolted to the starter. The positive cable goes there.
Eric the car guy does put out some good tips and info. And +1 to me for guessing correctly(sorta).
:)
So the big speedbump on my build, has been the ac system.
I didn't want to install the dash till I could confirm that what's behind it(the ac core) was leak-free.
I pressurized the system with argon, and have found that it bleeds off over a reltively short period of time. I tried spraying each...
Agreed.
The last R154 I found in a junkyard, I bought for $80, and sold it for $400 3 days later.
This forum is very quiet compared to a couple years ago. And as mentioned. There's not alot of 'new' info out there, and our cars are indeed becoming more rare.
All the more reason to keep mine...
I never got alot more power out of my ct26 after 14psi, So that's as far as I ever really kept it, usually happy with 12psi.
PS- I went 2+ yrs at10+psi on Felpro gasket and ARP's. I only went MHG when I pulled the motor for forged pistons later.
Just sayin.
