    Code 51 / TPS ('88 7M-GTE)

Verify that you have the multimeter in the correct range for the VC/VTL-E2 checks. Some multimeters cut at 2000ohms, and you need to select the next range value.

    Heat shielding intake gasket

I've used the gasket you're talking about for 5 years on my last engine, no leaks. Your mileage may vary, and who knows how much good the gasket really does?

Coolant tubes dont match Cygnus diag.

Umm- Pass the cost on to the customers?? I think they might have wanted to just go ahead and sell more cars, rather than raising the price even higher.

    Small Fixes; High Idle, EBrake

You can't adjust your tps by moving it and driving it around. The difference between correct adjustment and incorrect, is maybe a 1/4mm. It has to be adjusted per the TSRM sequence. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=101

    Speedometer problem?

Get under your car, and unscrew the speedo cable at the passenger side. You will see a keyed end once you take it out. Have someone put their fingers on the gauge end, as you spin the tranny end by hand. If no movement, then one of the two sections of cable is broken. Unscrew the lower section...

What part of wiring harness do I need?

No, I'm saying use the 87-88 harness, and just figure out what connectors you might need to buy to replace any missing items. OR, you could plug the 89+ harness in after repinning it(without using 87-88 harness plugs). You need to look at the two pinout diagrams to see the differences. Also...

What part of wiring harness do I need?

Fusebox harness doesnt need to be swapped out. You only need the engine harness. If you use the 89+ harness though, you will need to repin a few items to work with an 87-88 ecu. Also, some of the sensor plugs on it wont match some of the 87-88 sensors. I would suggest that you loosely install...

Where do these MAF wires go?

Looked at the tewd's for 88- and 89+. Don't see all those colors for the MAF(colors to MAF remained unchanged thru the years.). Only yellow wire I see going to the ecu is for FP. Can you unwrap that tape a bit farther to verify nothing was spliced higher up?

Weir stage 2 LSD upgrade review!

I did the stage 1 kit on mine, but im not sure what the breakaway torque is now. I don't plan on ever drifting it, so im not too worried. I did install a solid pinion spacer on mine- its similar to setting up the lash, in that you have to add the right amount of shims to get the pinion set right.

    where do these plug into?

Yeah i dont think that any of those plugs would keep you from starting. Im guessing that the clear plug in the engine bay goes to the tranny abs sensor.

My car has a long initial crank time, but not just when it's hot. I suspect my cheap Ebay fuel pressure regulator, so I bought this to install this week.

87 Turbo : >> HOt engine restart problems...

Replacing a fuel pump is a two hour job, provided the tank is nearly empty, and you don't break anything along the way. Plus, it makes it easy to replace the fuel filter, which DOES get clogged.
