what do you mean put a bandaid on it?? its fixed.. the intake i had on it was way to restrictive or somthing like that so it wanst geting enough air during boost.
CAR IS FIXED!!! toyota mechanics couldnt handle it!! lol.. well i was talking about how i put that new intake stuff on right before it had the problems... so i took that off and put the old filter on.. car drives fine now... ok so heres the wierd thing.. the way it is now and the way it was...
ok .. i just had a thought.... i did just put a new intake on it and then the probelm started.. would that cause the afm to do anything different?? before it was a filter right on the afm.. now i have an adaptor to pipe to intake filter
fuel cut at like 3-4 psi though?? i have it set to like 7-8 right now.. but i cant reach that much.. i get 3-4psi and its drives like crap. what would i do to fix the fuel cut?
ok another call from the shop.. they said they cant work on it cause they dont know what the aftermarket parts are doing to it... even though there really arent any other that a new BOV.. 255 fuel pump and boost gauge..lol...but they think it has to do with the afm or sothing with air flow...
well when driving the car its fine at lower rpms.. but once you give it more gas and the boost starts to build up the car gets like sputter, jerky, jumpy kinda deal.. or almost like its missing or geting small fuel cuts one right after another and wont hardly accel..
so for those of you that know about the problems my car has been having i finaly just took it to the shop... a toyota dealership.. just got a call from them today and they said they dont have a clue whats wrong with it.. they said they think the aftermarket parts has somthing to do with it...
ya.. with just 12 psi and exhaust your not going to even see 300hp especialy on this old of a car...do your head gasket and arp's then upgrade the CT turbo to like a .57 or 60-1 then get the Lex afm and 550cc injectors. that will put you well into the 300's.. get a walbro 255 fuel pump to ;)
