thanks guys. As far as the poop stain on the firewall. Im not sure what that is.From the location though, it looks like the previous owner might have lost that rubber cap on the coolant pipe. But I will try to get it off b4 the install. The engine compartment was much dirtier than that...
hmm thats interesting. I'd be curious to see how it holds up. I wonder why so many people are wanting the R154 so bad when alot of members never even reach the 400 hp mark?
so are you going to swap pistons so you can get your compression down where it needs to be for boost? Also I have never heard of the w58 being able to handle that much power. I thought it was more around 300 max. I also plan on na>t on my 87 but havent reasearched much on what all I need to...

I measured my crank...

update! Im back on track now as my pistons finally came in. I have been waiting on them for almost a month. Like I said they are not high dollar JE's or anything. Nippon racing .040 over. I got them and see damage to one of them. It has a small ding on the edge like its been hit. My...
that one question that has been lurking in the back of my mind. I see alot of guys taking these motors and dropping them in w/o any preventative maintenance. Is that wise considering we dont know for sure the mileage, some of the time, and more importantly how bad these motors were abused...
