ok well i just got word from the shop, the parts came in 10 mins ago he said.. and he said the good news is my crank looked perfectly fine, just the keyways were messed up alittle. He said it would be done tomorow.. they also found a coolant leak behind the water pump, the short elbow hose.. so...

If only damage was done to the snout of the crank then why would the crank need "re work"?

no i read that, but i was thinking about pistons and rods when i read it.

wow its nice to see people following my cars progress :) yes this past thursday the crank pulley came loose while driving.. parts will be in tomorow and it should be fixed in decent time. But other than that the car has be running perfectly

im not 100% sure right now as to what exactly they are going to do.. they said the parts that they know i need for sure will be in on tuesday. So as they replace the parts they will inspect for further damage and let me know.... as for me doing the work.. i dont have a garage or a stand i...

well the snout is messed up cause the keyways are messed up.. and i think they did want to drop the oil pan and have a look inside just to be safe.

when this happened on that car did it have any internal damage? as far as the rods and pistons? or bearings?

well ya i knew if that bolt came all the way out it would fack up the motor so i just had it towed and didn't drive it any further.... but damage has still been done i guess..

ya i know.. just in a situation where i cant do the work. and need it done fairly quickly... im just hoping there isn't any serious internal damage beyond the crank :( such a stupid issue causing such a bad problem.. ugh

You apoxied the key back on the crank???? I cant believe that would hold for even a second if it just snapped through metal. thats not the way i would go..lol.. so the shop called and they said I need a new balancer, new crank bolt, and the keyways were messed up. They said there could be more...

so what are the chances that these "keys" are now broken? when the pulley was loose it was still turning and the motor was running.

If your looking for a BOLT on turbo to reach those power goals i suggest a LIpp Boss turbo!! I would suggest foreged rods, .20 bored out, with .20 over sized pistons.. i have .20 over sized Ross pistons and they are working great. Something else important to consider would be upgrading your...
