My atmospheric BOV never gives me any issues either, and I do happen to have a good working dashpot :)

    almost done *pics*

DUDE no f'ing way! I had a red driver's side mirror on my grey spoilerless 89+ too! And I had the gas cap off for a couple days before I swapped a non-dented one and painted it and the mirror! And my antenna is bent! It's like you have a clone with cooler wheels and a different exhaust...

So its finally happened the knock

Wow, that's a loud one! Mine was barely there when I noticed it, so I tried replacing the bearings by dropping the subframe/oil pan but it came back in like 10 minutes =( I figure with a rebuild I'll at least know the car will be reliable.

Replacement carpet kit, anyone done it?

I've done it and the cutting out part is pretty annoying. I don't know if any places sell carpets with the holes for everything pre-cut =( Mine also wasn't perfectly molded, but I was pretty happy with it in the end.

Old Nissan owner, New toyota Owner, Current Honda Owner LOL

It's still warm enough sometimes outside that if you find a patch of sunlight you could do the black trashbag and ammonia trick with the tint. It's still a giant pain but without some sort of help scraping it off is nearly impossible. Oh and I have a 89+ parts car with just about everything...

Dude, for serious you need to stop by my place in Charlotte. I've got a full set of matching locks w/key, used but good plug wires (OEM Toyota), etc. My old shell is pretty much still intact and I could cut you a good deal on any parts you need. :icon_bigg Does the Supra not put a smile on...

Need some opinions about education, jobs, and life in general

This is true. Find something you like, if you like hands-on stuff finance is probably not going to work out for you =\ I'm not a huge fan of studying either, but I really like mechanical engineering so it's not so bad =)

Dok's payoff, 3 years in the making

Call me a ricer, but those calipers look really cool with the SUPRA text on them. Nice documentation, I always forget to take pictures when I get working on mine!

Hey. Remember me? Why are you getting rid of it so soon? And CT-26s aren't crap in the least!

recieved the ultimate insult this morning

Me too.... I know it's funny and all but when people mistake my car for something else usually they're just trying to be friendly/make conversation/compliment it so there's no reason to get all butt-hurt about it or insulted. Not everyone is crazy about cars. I just politely let them know it's a...

Hardest and Easiest Cars to Work on

Porsche Boxster S. There's no way to get to the engine except from underneath! I hear LS1 f-bodies are really gay, and 300zxs/3000gts are a bit of a pain too... The easiest car I've personally worked on is actually probably my Supra =\ But I'd imagine older cars don't have nearly as much crap...
