I've always wondered, after the initial hard break in, when the rings are seated and all, do you still need to take it easy for a couple hundred miles? Logic says no, but are there other factors to watch out for?
I'm not the biggest fan of blue but this is reeeaaallllll nice. I never noticed the clear lights all the way around before, it complements the color well!
I like 17s. The smaller wheels are lighter, and rubber is cheaper =) Plus big ones look kind of goofy if they're oversized... the only real problem you'll run into with smaller wheels is not enough space for brake upgrades.
That looks like the MR2 one, I dunno if it'll work but I've seen it on the 'bay. There's another one frequently listed for sale that is supposed to fit the MKIII though =\
+1 for hose techniques, it's actual good silicone hose =) A lot of the cheap silicone hose isn't that good, I had a length of ebay hose that somehow tore itself vibrating against the sides of the AFM O_o
Don't get the cheapest Harbor Freight engine stand (It was like $30), it won't hold a 7M without bending like 20 degrees downward =( The one that's $10 more can probably hold it though, my friend's got one and it's a lot sturdier.
Cool! If you kind of make yourself forget that you know it says MKII it looks sort of like alien writing with triangular symbols too. I dunno, that's just what my roommate said.
I have some parts, but I'm in Charlotte. I don't know if they'll have any 7M parts, but if you want to visit a seriously cool shop check out NSI in Wilmington (National Speed Inc)
The newer F-bodies aren't even that bad on the road course either, I've seen a lot better performance out of them than MKIIIs, that's for sure... And the 03/04 Cobras are simply beasts. Are they bigger and heavier than miatas or S2000s? Yes, but that doesn't mean they automatically suck at...
They are pretty high in price (probably because of their popularity) but I wouldn't mind having one to DD either. I think the GSRs even have decent horsepower (180ish?) so it wouldn't be terribly slow or anything either!
