What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Hope you have a speedy recovery. All I did was install a battery cut off switch and cut carpet around the cage.

I see what you did there. Nice FFIM work, fitment looks excellent.

7M high output alternator options. Driftmotion, Suprastore or Ebay?

That casing is the secret stuff for 7M folks, if it fits right. Nice find.

^^ Not bad, some cams and you're into 400's, easy! The dual spring Ferrea, and Ferrea Beehives are also good to 9K, but I can see them going a lot further. Guys say these Beehives are just as good, but nobody has published results. The 2J crowd goes into 10K territory, depending on the size...

Here is a 1JZ with stock connecting rods. Good valves and valvetrain components are important. This was over 11,000 RPM. https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154101187613380&id=694708379&set=a.10150310971033380.345338.694708379&source=48

Bottom end balancing is understandable, so are the limits of the oiling system. If anything, a 10,000 RPM redline would be fun, if it made a lot of power there. You could set a record for everyone.

Alec, that 7M is insane man... Nice Brad. I can only hope to go dry sump! You should be revving that thing up to 11,000 RPM with a 76mm! ;) Looking forward to your race fuel results.

http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?662401-2JZ-GTE-running-like-SHIT-all-I-did-was-change-the-oil-pump..& Sounds similar, but if his timing gear slipped backwards, and yours slipped forward or is not straight square... If you have checked everything else...

    1jz pulling/retarding timing like crazy!!

Only other idea I have, is the timing gear on the timing pulley slipped. Mine was loose when I removed it. I'm going to see about getting it welded.

    1jz pulling/retarding timing like crazy!!

The crank and cam sensors share a common ground, I think. Double check the wiring from the ECU, to the wire at all three sensor connections (+ and - for all three, with a continuity tester). Ensure it is 100% accurate from ECU to the wire that goes into the sensor. It is possible a wire or...

EDIT: just re-read how you disconnected a cam sensor. Coolant temp sensor? This is a tough one.

    Headgasket job so far

Depending on how much you remove, be prepared to buy pistons. If the piston ring caused that damage, it's not impossible the piston could have a cracked ring land anyway. Pistons should be measured to each cylinder they will go into. Not just a blank ".020" over bore for each one, but good...
