1jz crank bearings are same as 2jz.
Personally i dispise 1.5jz. 1jz head ports are tiny for a 3l. And gte bottom ends are more durable. Its more of a cheap fix than an upgrade.
Yes it is a ground. There is 2. 1 eyelet with brown wires and another with white. All ground on toyotas can be black brown or white.
Second one looks like ca egr temp sensor. can verify with the wiring diagram based off the wire colors.
Well you should have pointed out the fact that you have no resistor pack considering the stock injectors are low impedence. The only info nick has to go off of is the things you posted which bypassing the stock resistor pack was not on there.
You would be better off not hooking the speed sensor to the ecu. The ecu will work fine without and if you hook it up you will have speed cut.
With it off when you go past the speed cut speed you will just get a cel that goes away after a key cycle and a stored code for speed sensor.
Can take the iac off and clean the one way valve and the motor and verify operation like the manual says.
Also check to make sure the dash pot is adjusted correctly.
