This isn't exactly related to this car, but I did notice it because of the amount of pictures. The 88+ Supras seem to have an extra striker sort of thing mounted to the door with an extra hole on the door jam for this. My 87 does not have this. Anyone know what the purpose of this extra part is?

I believe a lot of them were N/A. It was probably easier and more reliable for them back then, plus the cars were totally stripped out.

My gas light has only come on once in the three years I had the car. I believe I still had like 4-5 gallons left when it came on. It hasn't come on since and I usually put in 12-14 gallons when I get gas. It seems that our gas gauges are not the most accurate set up.

That could be why your gas mileage is better as well then. I wish non ethanol gas was readily available here. Its better for the system and provides better gas mileage. There is only one station here that has it. Right now 93 octane( with 10% ethanol) is like $3.49 here and the only non ethanol...

Alright, I just wanted to make sure you had covered the basic maintenance things. I don't know what would be causing you mpg to be so low. It might have been the different intake. I have been getting around 20 or so lately, and that is with very city driving. By that I mean a lot of 35 mph...

My N/A gets 18-20 city like supraguy said. Have you changed your air filter or checked it to see if it has been changed lately? Have you ever changed the plugs?
