I used some guerilla tape folded over to secure the door sills since many of my tabs were gone as well. The tape provides a simple low profile option. As far and interior screws go, luckliy there are only a few different types used throughout the entire interior. I had an extra dash handy and I...
It's not common with good silicone, but maybe one of your hoses is starting to split? I'd check them all out; especially around the clamps just to be sure.
I was thinking of dropping my built 7M (Avatar pic) into a MKIV shell since my MKIII was beat to all hell. I couldn't find any decent MKIV's locally that weren't crazy $$$ so I ended up just putting my time and effort into the MKIII I had.
I bet I could have given most 2J MKIV's a run for...
Appreciate your concern, but I'm not planning on tracking the car. It's going to be mostly to take to shows on the weekends. There are many people who run their belts this way. This doesn't make it right, but it's fairly common. I'm even following the manufacturer's mounting recommendations. If...
Youch! That's a scary thought. I guess that's why these belts don't conform to DOT and FMVSS standards. They're supposed to be ok for street use though. I guess I'll have to restrain myself from playing chicken.
I can't say I'm happy to find this out now. Nor am I happy that neither the...
Not to my knowledge. I used Corbeau's recommended mouting points. The belt coming out of the retractor needs to be at a 45 degree angle for them to function properly.
Luckily those covers I sealed-up the doors with are easily removable. I can pull one off in no time. Unfortunately, putting it on and sealing it back up is a different story.
Don't jinx me man!!! :biglaugh:
My Zeitronix ZR-1 wb gauge finally came. I was a little pissed when I saw how big this thing was. I honestly thought it was only 52mm and would easily fit where the Cig lighter was without much modification.
But no biggie. Took my dremel to the center dash bezel and bored it out nicely...
Shouldn't be much mush at all. It's surprising how little "bulge" there is running 315's on an 9.5" rim. However, the tires will most likely be making contact with the fender if you run those 10mm spacers. 8mm may be the way to go, though they may not be wide enough for tires to clear the...
Yes! After much elbow grease I got the passenger seat installed. It would have helped if I realized that there are mounting spikes sticking out of the front of the rails. I can't believe how much time I wasted scratching my head trying to figure out why the front mounting points were resting 2"...
Snapped some pics last night of my 315/40/17 Michelin Pilots on 9.5" TT rims that I pulled from a wrecked MKIII at the junkyard and mounted for shits and giggles. Sorry for the quality, but it was dark and all I had was my Blackberry.
Surprisingly, they're still a good...
Considering they only cover 2/3 of the tire. Yeah, pretty rediculous. But they still look bad-ass as hell from behind. I've looked everywhere for the pics and can't find them. As a matter of fact, I'm missing all pics from 01/09 - 07/09. Not sure what the hell happenend to them. I'll take some...
I can appreciate the time, effort and skill involved in this mod. But the finished product is not appealing to me at all.
Destroys the car's lines and makes the vehicle look terrible. The smooth sides remind me of an old Integra.
I tried finding a pic since I'm positive I took one, but no luck. I didn't think tires that wide would fit either, but I actually found them on a wrecked MKIII in the junk yard. They mounted up just fine on my ride. I have the car lowered with Tokico II's and Eibachs. No rolled fenders. There's...
I need a pic of the passenger seat rails. Right where they bolt to the floor in the front.
I'm trying to bolt down a set of shadow grey seats out a 92 into my 90. For some reason it looks like the rails are reversed (left where right should be and vice versa). The brackets sit a good 2"...
That's an idea. Would be fine for the PPS pump vacuum. However the PCV and ISC ports are pretty large; so that vacuum manifold is going to be pretty unsightly to keep those port sizes.
Where does one source the vacuum nipples? I'd just rip them out of the accordian hose, but I'm pretty sure...
