Haha, these were actually separate incidents. There was a guy in the parking lot that asked if it was a DeLorean, maybe because it wasn't moving. I don't see a resemblance...
*Neither of these are my cars, and I don't remember where I got the picture.
I drove it today. I took the long back way home cutting through some neighborhoods because I absolutely hate sitting in traffic. I'd rather drive farther at 25 mph than sit in traffic. I also had someone call it a DeLorean. Again...
No I do not plan on going Turbo. I thought about trying to find another used stock one, but they are all getting pretty old now and I doubt I could find one in good condition.
It is completely worth it, it's the best thing I've done to the car. Last night I was behind a late model Malibu coming through my neighborhood and my lights were shinning farther than his and I was behind him.
It can be kinda hard to understand at first, but after I did some research and...
OK, I will. I am still deciding if I want to go with his system with the OE replacement resonator and muffler, or go with a Magnaflow type of system. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...
No splicing wires. You buy a retrofit kit, this is the one I bought: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-retrofit-kits/bi-xenon-morimoto-mini-stage-3-kit-h1.html#.UyHCE_ldU-U
Then you buy some housings like this...
I would just drain the transmission through the drain plug, then fill it back up, then drive for a while and repeat the process until the fluid coming out is clean. That would be easier than dropping the pan I think. The TSRM shows 1.6L as the drain and refil capacity so even if you have to do...
I would chalk that up to user error and cheap parts... As long as you get a quality retrofit set then it will work flawlessly. For my setup I didn't have to cut anything on the car. If I wanted to turn it back to stock for whatever reason I could have it done in however long it would take to...
This is actually pretty cool. Its like a super sleeper car. Any full pics of the Cressida from the front? The body actually looks pretty clean for $200.
Thanks! I don't like the way the "diamond cut" ebay clear corners look either. I like the look of these euro ones because the look OEM, because they are OEM just not here in the states :). I actually like the way my projector lights look, I think they give it a little more of a modern look and...
Well today I installed my Euro turn signals and bubble markers. I love the way the turn signals look. I have white LEDs in them from superbrightleds.com and they look fantastic. Here's a couple night pics, I'll try and get some more in the daylight tomorrow. They put out a lot more light than I...
You sure it doesn't have a drain plug? I've never had an auto Supra but I believe the same 4-speed transmission is in the early 2000s 4Runners. My dad has one of those and I know he was able to flush the transmission by just draining it from the drain plug.
Hmm. Looking at the Toyota Supra brochure for 1990 doesn't show that you could get a brown interior at all, but I guess it could have been special ordered by a dealer or something maybe. I would suggest using photobucket as well.
Alright, thanks. I may just buy them and see how I like them since you have already confirmed they fit. Worst case is I just put the regular bulbs back in and I'm out only $10.
Nice to see that you got another mk3, but kinda like akito said the 90 didn't come with a tan/brown interior. It was probably swapped out of an earlier mk3 supra. If it is clean though then it is still a good find and doesn't matter. I'm looking forward to more pictures!
What kind of white are the ones you linked on ebay? Are they a pure white color like a 5000k type or do they have that blueish tint to them like a 6000k bulb? I prefer just a pure white with no blue tint, but I didn't see anything specific in their ad.
Ah, I thought you did the whole motor already.
What specific bulbs did you guys get for the license plate lights? I remember someone saying that the space is limited and some of the LED bulbs wont fit.
Well today and yesterday I went by a local muffler shop and Midas.
The guy at the local place said he would have to custom build one. He said about $260 for him to bend all the pipes, weld everything together and put a new muffler and resonator on. He also said it shows two types of mufflers...
