Its about 8k if you have a shop do it. If you do it yourself depending on what you get for it can be 4-8k. All the little things add up.
stock 2jzgte engine is around 1800-2200
Cps is off a tooth.

Could have a bad distributor or a bad coil. Or possibly air flow meter.
Jump te1 and e1 in the diag box, turn ign to on position and count the check engine light blinks.

thats for the mk3 but should be the same.
Iirc that is obd1 and you need to jump te1 and e1 to check codes.
Also you need to check the basics and see if you have fuel or if they fuel pump is even turning on and pull a plug and see if you get spark.
Its pretty common for the theft deterent computers to go bad.
Have you tried locking and unlocking the vehicle from both doors to see if it still happens?
You would have to wire the crank and cam sensors to the 7m cps using a non vvti 2jzge. Also would have to run compatable injectors and map sensor and and coils and igniter.
Imo better off to just start with a full gte swap in the first place.
Its not compatable with the later year harness.
You could swap harness but i dont see the point. better off to sell that one and go standalone or if you really want a mines ecu find a gray plug one.
It will remove fuel cut yes. but if you run lean there is nothing to stop you from melting a piston.
If you want more power your better off to just wait until you can do it properly.
