It may be that's how it was stored. I was reading a thread yesterday where someone suggested filling an engine with oil to store it for a long time. Aside from someone pouring it in there, i'm not sure how you'd get so much oil inside the cylinders.
As far as I know, that wire shouldn't even be there. Maybe in the soarer the starter relay is in the engine bay though. My best guess is pin 10 on B1, which is the connection from the relay to the starter.
Sorry, should be pin 14 of B1, one of the diagrams I have is wrong.
Also, that pin I gave you for the NSW is wrong. It's pin 8 of B1 on the 5spd, dunno about the auto.
I saw a car with an ASC power moonroof taken apart, and they had actually used a cutup indoor house extension cord to power the motor. I pulled the switch on mine because I was having problems and it was very poorly installed to say the least. Also, I've seen a few of these ASC moonroof installs...
Especially with a y-pipe on there you should be running more than 8psi. I'd say you should even be creeping over the stock 10-11. I pulled 11 on a stock y and downpipe.

If by using stock rails you mean the same as in the stock US supra seats then no. Since the Recaro's are non-power the rails are very different. It might be possible to adapt a set of US seat rails to the Recaro's, but not without alot of work.

Only 91-92 cars had a factory sunroof. The ASC power roof was a dealer installed option for 87-88 cars. They didn't do such a great job on them either, I had one and the wiring is pretty poor quality.

You are right. Logically you need to cut off the 7m alt plug and wire it to the 1jz alt plug, however the 1jz alt plug wires should run through the 1jz harness to that location, so you should be able to find them in the chopped wires you have. If not, I suppose you can always just run your own...
Ok, apparently you don't have an EA2 connector, you're going to have to either make your own connector/use the 7m engine harness connector or hardwire the EA2 wires.

You don't have to extend them to the alternator, the EA2 plug on the engine harness has those wires in it, so you have to connect the wires from the body portion of the plug to the same color wires on the supra body harness. The only wire you have to extend is the ring terminal.

Also I just noticed you have a regular 1jz EA2 plug, it's the plug thats sitting right behind the corner of the fusebox in your picture. If you have enough of the harness, I recommend this method of wiring in the fusebox:

Ma71 Alt connector D is on the chassis harness, not the engine harness. The hydraulic fan thermistor is on the 1jz chassis harness.
