IwantmkIII, here are pics for both the Mishi and PWR without the fan shroud. Interesting thing...the Mishi actually has a bit more clearance to the core - they are both the same to the tank.

I just replaced my front seal due to it leaking. I used an OEM seal along with the Permatex dressing that jdub recommended. I used a home made PVC tool (a 2" coupling with a hole drilled in the end for the crank bolt to fit) along with the crank bolt to push the seal in. I didn't crank it...

IJ, what modifications did you suggest? I bought my PWR back in 2004 and I had a few minor fitment issues. I think I had to shave down the rubber grommets on the bottom and one bolt hole for the A/C fans did not line up correctly.

Poodles, yeah most of the tubes that were hit are pinched shut at least on the edge. I'd guess that there is still some flow deeper in. Grimjack, I was just reading another thread where some folks were having fitment issues with their Mishi's. The fan blades are hitting them and causing them...

Hmmm. I am replacing a damaged PWR rad with a Mishi. I'm now wondering if a Mishi was a wise choice. The PWR is pretty thick too but I never had a problem with the blades hitting it.

I'm a bit surprised too. A testament to PWR's quality I guess.

I was afraid someone would say that :). I've had no problem with the PWR and when I bought it 6 years ago I thought it was the best out there. Nowadays, I've seen other brands like Mishimoto, Megan racing, Koyo and they all look similar....on the outside at least. Who knows what lurks...

I'm installing a new turbo that has a 4" intake and I'd like to use Apexi's power intake. The largest flange that I see on their site is their 500-AA06 at 98mm which is a bit smaller than 4". Is that what folks are running on their 4" intakes?

I second Silicone Intakes. I have red hose from both Hose Techniques and Silicone Intakes. Both are good but I did notice that the Silicone Intakes hoses have thicker walls. I think the price was a little cheaper too.
