Yeah I tried lubing the actual mechanism at the top, but it did nothing... It really is barely audible over the radio, conversations, and the sound of a beautiful inline six.
I figured, but just wanted to confirm.
I don't think our cars turn on the fuel pump when the ignition is only switched to on, that's why you have to jump the two connectors in the diagnostic port. I'll try and pull up the old thread I made on this a few years back. There was more information on this there. It is a minor annoyance...
It's probably not, but are you sure it isn't the clutch pedal assembly? Mine squeaks, and I tried all sorts of lubes, but it wouldn't go away. I guess I have just gotten used to it or it isn't that noticeable when actually driving.
I think part of the problem is that drivers training here is a joke as well. In Alabama you can take the written portion of the test over and over until you pass it. You just have to pay the $15 or whatever everytime. When I took driver's ed in highschool it was a complete joke. I had already...
I don't think a boat really can be compared to a car. A boat has to be taken to water to be used, but a car can be used pretty much anywhere. A boat would loose value real quick too unless you are buying some sort of a classic boat or something. I really don't see his Supra depreciating or doing...
Yeah exactly. It's much easier to keep up with it rather than letting it get real bad again and then have to deal with the real heavy stuff again. I think there is some sort of a clearcoat applied from the factory as well and you do have to sand them the first time to get it off and get the...
I think what you said is true Midwest_Mudder. I think it also has something to do with when women have accidents its more likely to be something small and stupid. Like texting and bumping into someone or things like that. For younger guys, like me, I think our insurance rates are so much higher...
Looks good. I've done the ones on my Mom's 4Runner a couple times for her. The first time using one of those sand paper kits, that worked the best. The next time I just used some Klasse All in One cleaner for paint and that worked pretty well and was easy, but didn't last long. The most recent...
Kinda. They sit lower than most cars which can make it hard to see at times (especially when people "beautify" their property by planting things right along the road), the long nose and low front end also could result in a broken front bumper if the person driving is careless, plus a stick shift...
I got the resonator and muffler installed today. It looks beautiful, just the way I wanted it to. I think it sounds really good, and the guy who owns the exhaust shop said "it has a nice growl". The only thing is it drones more than I would like it to around 1600-2300 rpms. It definitely isn't...
I have the same problem but my car is N/A. I replaced that VSV under the manifold because mine had a slight crack in it but it did not solve my problem. I tested every sensor on the car and they all checked out. I even tried running ethanol free gas and this maybe helped marginally but not much...
Maxburn, I have to agree with Grandavi. I know it sucks but you should probably just buy a new one. If the interior is trashed from the smoke, the body is trashed, and stuff got in the motor it isn't worth messing with. At least you didn't have that one for too long and weren't able to get too...
I love the stance your car has, and the wheels go very well with it. Everytime I see your sig somewhere I usually stop reading the thread and stare at it for a couple minutes.
Got my resonator and exhaust tips delivered yesterday and my muffler delivered today. Hopefully I can get it all welded up tomorrow at the local muffler place.
I have to agree with everyone here. I think you should keep it as well, you will want it back as soon as you see the taillights drive off from you. It's not like it is depreciating in your garage like a new car would, so that's always a plus. I have no idea how old your kids are, but one day...
I have to agree, I don't really like the body kit. There are very few body kit's for the MK3 that I do like. If you want the fender flares, you can buy the whole thing and sell the rest. I'm sure there is someone out there who loves the look of it, I just personally do not.
That's what they told me when I called as well, but when I went down there and actually bought it it was something like $18 for 2 quarts. I believe it was 75w-90 and the additive.
