Scratch option 2? Option 2 is a brand new stock Toyota part... and as far as option goes.. it is internally wastegated and mounts to stock dp and the adapter is about 3/4" thick... no need for any relocation of anything except a coolant bypass until I get my turbo rebuilt..
Here are the options I am currently weighing on my build...
Option 1: Temporarily purchase a Chinese 57 trim t3/t4 oil cooled only (bypass coolant lines temporarily)turbo and a ct-t3/t4 adapter and run that (until I can save my money to have Albert rebuild my ct26 to a 57 trim) at around...
I am in a similar dilemma.. i just picked up a walbro on a new hanger with new hardware and don't want to drop the tank to get it in... Reallly don't want to have to drop the tank...
Update: Ordered Walbro pump on new hanger bracket with 12v mod and dual pod pillar from supraflymk3... Thanks dude..
Also ordered a carbon fiber center dash piece with 3 gauge ports in it from Intrnlstorm... thanks broski...

have you tried E Shift Performance? I am in NJ too and these guys do swaps all day... They know their shit... They are one of the only 3 or (i think he said) shops to have ever done a 2j into an M5. I plan on doing as much as i can by myself and if I hit any walls I will give them a shout...
try this... give the accessory belt a tug to try to rotate the crank without turning the crank pulley... My pulley slipped they key on my crank and that make setting timing an impossible task... even if it turns even a little bit (means the pulley is turning by itself because there is no way in...
if you have good compression but you are smelling fuel vapor backing up the intake out to the maf then something is awry with the timing... and about the fuel... how old is it? maybe if the car was sitting for awhile the fuel isn't good any longer...
