Your best bet is to use factory ones. Some of the aftermarket ones do not fit very good. They are not that expensive from Toyota.

its your coils. cannot just shrunk wrap them. boots need to be pulled off then the coils need to be plastic epoxyed and then shrink wrapped and then the boots can go back on.
You are experiencing ignition break up that is very common on 1j old coils.
That is the intake came no1 cap. It incorporates the vvti oil galleys and what not.
The caps are not interchangeable to other heads. They are line bored with all the other caps.
iirc its like a 24mm socket and then use a breaker bar or long ratchet. its not crazy tight or anything.
You would either need to cap it off or put a new shorter bolt in there with a washer to seal it. Iirc you can buy the bolt from toyota.
