Anyone put a diesel engine in a Supra?

You're listening to the wrong diesels then, lol. Someone I work with has a modified Ram and he completely destroyed a turbo Supra the other day. -AM3

    Ebay Full Silicone Hose Kit

I'm not a fan of silicone hoses for the fact that I notice they tend to collapse under vacuum. My car had a bunch of blue silicone hoses, some of them were permaneantly collapsed, so I ended up replacing all of them when I did my swap. Rubber hoses tend to fit tighter and they hold their shape...

Anyone put a diesel engine in a Supra?

Not with a QSB 4.5, it should be short enough to fit. Its the extra 400 pounds of weight that kills you... http://www.ehow.com/list_7450112_technical-4_5-liter-diesel-engine.html That was my concern for finding a suitablre driveline. -AM3

That was my big concern as well, just too much weight in the front. @onemancrew: I was serious about it for about ten minutes, lol. But two main concerns shot it down. Weight as stated above. Anything small enough, and you won't get enough power/torque for it to be worthwhile. Anything with...

Anyone put a diesel engine in a Supra?

So me and some of the guys I work with (I work for Cummins) kicked around the idea of a diesel in a Mk III chassis. My thoughts are that size/weight would be the major issue, along with finding a suitable driveline. Also reinforcing the chassis to handle that kind of torque would be another...

    busted A340?

Aside from poor grammar, your problem could be many things. Do you have more information? Did it work before pulling the engine, did you service the trans and take a look at the fluid? Did you make sure you got everything hooked back up right? I don't know any specifics about the A340, but we're...

    boost gauge

I have a Lotek 2 guage pod, a Boost gauge on the bottom and AEM Wideband on top. It looks pretty good, but the fitment of the gauge pod could be better. -AM3

    7M build advise please

Get it machined or use an OEM head gasket. Otherwise you will join the never ending cycle of BHG > JZ Swap > This car is a piece of junk > Part out. -AM3
