Heck ya, You rock for stepping up on this. Can't wait, gonna hussle to get her all done.
Will the Show and Shine be at the same time as the drags (i would assume no) or just the same day?
I'll check the codes today, ran the codes once already when my distributor died and only code up was the ignition stuff.
If the coolant temp sensor is not reading correctly the ecu will not know when it is warmed up or not.
Whats up guys, ok did some digging, but found nothing.
Have a 86.5 N/A, since I bought the car it has hesitated to start when cold, takes a couple of seconds.
I let it warm up for a sec and drive it, care will not accel good until it gets above 2500 rpms, while its cold. Once it gets to...
I've seen the Shine one, his products rock, used them many times in the past. But there is not a good pic of the lip on the pre-89 bumper. CFX never heard of it.
PCguylovesSupra, your supra is clean, and you are correct. Not the first car I have set up, and standing out a little is good. Mind you the paint does that for me, lol
Everyone does the newer bumper and tailights, but the older pre-89 stuff is growing on me, Decisions, decisions.
I like the 89-92 Taillights and moldings as well, but the taillights swap would not look right if the front was not done.
So I think the consensus is to stay pre-89 and represent the old school, lol. I might have to do that.
I actually had the front lower, 0.25" and was rubbing under hard cornering. Rear fits fine, but the front was rubbing fender went turning hard or onto a driveway.
I am not opposed to leaving the pre-89 bumper on, but am wanting a bit more aggressive look and my lower lip options are not very high for the pre-89 bumper.
I will definately add side and rear valance. This is all towards the end of the build.
Any ideas on front lips for the stock pre-89...
Don't know how rare it is exactly, but I think I have only found 3-4 others on the forums with this color.
I plan on going with an 89-92 front bumper and a lip or I might switch to the ShineAuto Greddy style full front bumper.
First is the motor
