just an idea, but if you had an air bubble around the temp sensor the car would never read hot on the gauge. if it did have air and overheated alot of times the coolant will blow out of the overflow, look for coolant around that area to confirm

i like my blitz. i did have to cut out about a 2" section for it to fit right seein as how they're made for soarers. if it's too loud, one bolt puts in the silencer that comes with it and it quiets down a bit.
