    :( sorry to hear about your mk3....They removed the cables from 15 miles of freeway after my accident, apparently by getting in between them "impossible according to the engineer" they decided it was much more dangerous then the standard rails.

    Its a blank cover, but there is a gasket for it, if you get another pair of eyes try the same thing and watch from the underside. If theres a leak in that seal it will piss oil fast. I like the progress so far. In the mk3 world there is nothing more important than knowing your engine.
