Yeah. Supra Rich is happy to make me a reground intake cam that has about 1mm reduced base circle. I also have BC264 cams that have a little more lift and about the same duration but have a standard base circle.
I have tried a few different cam combinations now and I have found the 7MGE likes...
The intake valve seats in my head are only about 33.5mm in diameter. It seems they are too small even for stock 2jz valves. I guess if you can source oversize valve seats then oversize 2jz valves could be fitted.
There is a 7M MA61 running around in Aus with those headers. Appear to fit nicely, and they work with our right hand drive cars unlike the Pacesetter and OBX that foul on the steering column..

I think you are getting ahead of yourself a little here.
Flow bench, dyno or even road test results such as 0-100km/h times are usually required before even convincing yourself of the benefits of the mods you have performed..
I am half way through a similar project.
Left images are of the modified chamber. Images on the right are of an untouched chamber.
Next step is to build a flow bench and see if the deshrouding of the intake valve has helped at all.
Can you please measure the head thickness. Original thickness I believe is 116mm. I cc'ed my chambers before starting my head porting project and measured 42 to 43 cc for all chambers. My head had never been shaved so you have achieved very close to the original chamber volume.
I have seen videos and photos online of people using dyes and smoke to show where the air is flowing inside the port when on the flow bench.
Easiest thing to do is feed a cotton thread in the port when its running. Question is does this show anything useful. In mine it is only happy when its...
Your original post implied the motor is an import that you have just acquiried. Not a motor that has had two previous head shaves in an American repair shop.
Anybody got experience using neway valve seat cutters on the 7M head?
How hard do you have to press when turning the cutter around?
Do the cutters need regular replacement?
I bought a second hand set and dont know how sharp the cutters are relative to a new set.
Slight pitting is easily fixed at your machine shop by refacing. You really only need to change them when the stems are worn or the seats are pitted beyond refacing.
