Interesting youtube vid. I don't think google would be biased on whether or not to ground a radiator. I have personal experience from pulling radiators from 1988 to current and haven't seen one grounded from the factory. But lastest year model was an '05. They may ground them now, but why?
I thought the rubber mounts were to isolate from the frame to prevent galvanic corrosion. If you were to ground the radiator to the chassis then that would defeat the purpose of the rubber mounts wouldn't it. I've been doing a little research on the google. I'm coming up with about half the...
Hey Mike, I was messaging your neighbor asking about you. Just talked to Darrel yesterday as well.
Were just here gearing up for another Summer vacation, so that means the Supra takes a backseat... again. I will get to it soon I hope. My daily Protege is looking and running worse by the day...
I've never run forged pistons before, but from what I've heard on other vehicles it does sound like a little piston slap. Do you happen to know the piston to wall clearance your machine shop did? Did they tell you?
Any coolant loss? You can rent a pressure tester from an auto parts store and see what the results are. I would consider removing the radiator and clean it. While it's out clean any debris that might be between the radiator and condenser.
Btw, do you still have rubber isolator mounts on the...
Thats a great idea. Show them pics of your damaged area to give them an idea of how much they need to cut. Try to get as much floor pan as you can so you can trim what you need for the repair. I would also request that driver seat mount tab with some area around it just in case.
I would imagine that the "7m tune" on that AEM is just a baseline type of tune that will get you started on tuning. Most base tunes run rich to keep things safe as you lean it out to optimum AFR's. I couldn't comment on breaking in an engine running fat. Maybe some guys here will chime in on...
This should help. Or confuse you as to which oil to use for break in. I guess just choose on and cross your fingers. I would break it in on stock stuff first. Good luck.

I thought the first 30 minutes of engine run time was the most critical for a new engine break in. Running non detergent 30sae oil varying rpm and all.
If that's the case I wouldn't want to break in an engine while someone is trying to get a good tune on it. Why not break it in with the stock...
If you get longer bolts then have washer available just in case you need them.
My stock bolts wouldn't work on the engine stand. I had to get longer bolts. I needed washers to fill the gaps.
There's a broken connecting rod preventing you from turning the engine to get to two more bolts? Is the engine still in the car? Is the newly rebuilt 7m going into the same car?
If the engine rotates 180* then you should be able to get to all of the PP to FW bolts from both tran access panels.
I said this exact same thing in the summer of 2013. Haven't touched my car since. I'm sure you'll have yours going though. Good luck and keep us posted.
Hello everybody. Happy new year. Nothing going on here. Same 'ole stuff. Been telling myself I'd get my car back on the road, but between vacations and holidays I've been putting things off. I keep telling myself that I'll get back to it soon. My son actually asked me when we were going to get...
