The radiator will bubble when its flushing the system of air I think
Also easiest way to see if it has a blown headgasket do a compression test
Is your car overheating now?
Is it puffing white smoke out the exhaust?
These are two very commn bhg symptoms..............

What he said but i heard Na's have 4.3 for a reason anything else and they fall on there face they need the high gearing otherwise they dont go anywhere very fast.......
i dont know how much power your NA is packin but if its stock i would leave it as is

Check for leaks fill it back up and listen for a small hiss...........
Or you can get the dyed freon that comes with a special light you charge the system and shine the light at all the connections and look for the colored dye

Im only shootin for 300ish but with forged internals and the lipp lex afm sittin in my tool chest its only a matter of time before 550s and afpr find there way into my engine bay
Then the boost goes way up and never comes back down...
Total seal no good ha........

Im goin with probes they allready come with rings sleeves and pins....

I agree id rather use my dinged piston than a set of NPRs.......
Im not quite sure what im gonna do but if i get a new set of slugs its gonna be probes because they are forged and built for the 7m......
Im thinkn about gettin probes they make a standard size thats .003 over so you can hone to fit probably gonna go that route just sucks cause i was hopn to get this thing goin it'll be a little tell i i save the extra money..

I just got done measuring all my piston to bore clearences everything is well within spec and the small dent is only on the very top not on the round part so i decided to use it
especially cause i dont wanna use cheap npr and have to run .20 overs

Its not on the round part of the piston should i replace or am i safe to run it?

I had a really loud ticking noise on my 7MGTE that variated with engine rpm it got even louder after i went to my first dift comp.
I thought it was the valves but when i pulled the covers they were still in spec.
Check your valves clearances and your entire valve train for loose parts...
I hope you know how to fabricate like a motherf-----
1500 hundred will get you a jdm engine and transmission
but how are you gonna connect the tranny and rearend custom drive line or keep the ford tranny and make a custom bell housing
anyway you look at it your in way over your head...
Thanks Im gonna check the main seal but it sounds like head gasket is a strong possibility of where the oil could be coming from my engine has 150k so it is definetaly due for a rebuild
