Thanks guys. I know it doesn't stop the oil but it kinda just sit a fraction under the valve cover gaskets. Was thinking this may have been the cause of the leak? maybe? But yeah im just going to stick with the 30mm 10mm hex bolts, gripper washers, RTV sealant and should be sweet.
Hey all. Just a quick Q. How many people run with no middle valve cover (spark plug cover)? It just Im so freaking over my plugs swimming in oil I want to try with out it (when it goes back together). I search and found all the other tricks, going with shaeffs rtv round the hole area.
Yeah IJ your spot on about the allen bit. Its supposed to be held in by a tightening bit but kept falling out, and eventually down the oil hole thing.
I tried all day today to flush it out, blow it out, magnet it out..... but nothing. :3d_frown: So ill put it all back together and have it...
LOL, after all the smallest bone in a sheeps body is a kiwi's dick. oooowwww that will stir some one up for sure. LOL
But here in Aus I have some dramas accessing SM as well.
Hey IJ, what happened to your SS V2 Short shifter?........ Oh thats right I bought it! It beats all shifters hands down. Smooooth, quiet, short, and no viabrations!
As for the smoke, go the BHG! mine was black smoke with blue smoke and some hints of white. So I rebuilt the turbo and am doing...
Hey all thanks so much for your advise. Yeah i'm going to try the whole magnet thing tomorrow. Does anyone have a pic of inside an oil pan?
Dropped the head off this morning and will get it back monday. If I can't get it out that way I spoke to a mechanic who said he will charge $150au to...
Dang, thats one F&%K of a job just to drop the pan. I'm going to try and drag it along with a magnet on the outside of the pan?:1zhelp: Otherwise put the whole thing back together and have it towed somewhere. Mmmmm the beer was good. Thanks IJ.
LOL. Oh well I guess the sumps gotta come off. All that work for a little allen socket peice.:3d_frown: Maybe I could drag it out with a magnet on the outside of the sump? Anyway. I need that beer. I hope someone knows the link to removing the sump. Cheers again IJ.:icon_surp
Ah IJ you rock. once again solved my problem. Now what are my chances of getting that sucker out without removing the sump. I know already 0%. So next is to find the TSRM section. Anyone? Also any tips and tricks would be great. and whats that stuff called that is the gasket stuff for the sump?
I see where your coming from IJ but its not really an option at the moment. I double checked and its only going down about 15cm. Could it be hitting the crank shaft? Any pics of the other side?
Also anyone got the link to the tsrm of removing the sump?
LOL well heres the scene. I just leant back on my chair looked at the cieling and said poo. Im now going to get a beer and contenplate removing the sump. Now the cross member has to be removed to remove the sump right?

I just got a Bar and Plate IC from Ebay for $250au which = $200ish us dollars.
Its 600x300x75 (24x12x3) and yes you can fit it without cutting the support bar. Took me bout an hour to mount. the Oil cooler is sort of stuck to the back of the IC and the Water bottle relocated to the back of...
