Im glad to see someone having some imagination with putting this engine in a supra but make sure the engine is a 2006 or newer. The 2004-2006 engines have problems with valve seat wear. it will cause a missfire at idle. There is a GM bulletin about this and head replacement is required. And also...
It is possible to bench test a regulator, but you would have to basicly build a cars fuel system on the bench. It would be easier to install that regulator, and if it doesnt work then buy a new one.
Im a GM guy so I used some corvette Dexron LS synthetic gear 75w90. It comes with friction modifier already in it. works perfect. I think it retails for like $45 a liter though.
I see alot of corvettes with those. The auto one would be good when you get pulled over by police. "what are you talking about officer, I do have a front tag. Check for yourself!"
I have personally have had an AR5 apart and I believe it is definately an upgrade to the R154 in all aspects. The only problem keeping me from swaping one into my car is the speedometer problem. it seems like everything else has been adressed. Has anyone figured this out yet? I dont want to do...
I just had this problem with my JDM GTE swap, found one of the two knock sensor wires were shorted to ground. I fixed it by buying a 5 foot coax cable TV cable and restringing the circuit. I had some doubts about using it, but it works perfectly with no problems, only cost $14 too. Your best...
I am planing on geting a AEM UEGO and this boost gauge will match it, that is the only reason why I would want it. I know it is rediculously expensive but I cant stand having different style gauges. I was just thinking that if it uses a 5v refrenced MAP sensor that I could just splice into that...
I am going to get a MAFTpro and I am trying to do some research before I buy what I need however I cant find an answer to my question. I will be using the boost control function so I found this gauge http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=73
It has a 0-5v output. Would I be able...
BHG wont put oil in the intake, only PCV and turbo will do that. Benchwarmer, I was just saying he will have a really hard time in court if it went that far since he has pre-existing conditions that would cause the failure during the test drive... and the waiver will hold up since there will be...
I dont believe you will get any kind of compensation for it since you most likely signed a waiver when they wrote the car up on the repair order. I work at a chevrolet dealer and many times corvette owners (the worst kind) get pissed because there is 5 miles on a car with a drivability...
I have a comment on the oil drain. I did the (GTE) swap with a JDM GTE and the oil pan was crushed. I realized that the GE oil pan already had a hole tapped into the side of it for the oil drain with a plug in it. I just swapped the drain tube and banjo bolt. Why does everyone seem to drill and...
its on the car and bolted up. Its a PITA to get it back off, so I dont want to take it back off to take pics. its cracked between the wastegate port and the turbine.
My CT26 has a crack in the turbine housing between the wastegate port and turbine that I noticed, what kind of problems would come from this and would the turbo need to be rebalanced if I replace it? I have a spare CT26 that I disected since it was siezed and came with my JDM engine. Ive tried...

I understand that the housings are different, I thought though that everyone put the GTE AFM in the LEX housing. I already got a LEX housing for future mods but for now I was wondering if I could use the LEX AFM in the GTE Housing.
I have done some searching with no progress. I need a GTE AFM. I was wondering if a 1UZFE AFM will work with the GTE. I noticed on the wiring diagrams that they are wired the same exept the E1 is grounded through the ECM on the GTE and on the Lex its just grounded. Can it work? It would be so...
