a few words of caution: given the age of our transmissions, you'll find that some if not most have issues with any true short shifter....if you're trying to shift quickly (i.e. drag racing). yrs ago i ran a c's short shifter....and it caused me to CONSTANTLY miss shifts @ the strip. i threw it...
not a problem on the help...
i'll assume you're talking about RWHP. it may be possible w/the CT upgrade, just be aware the puny CT turbine, shaft and bearings don't like being ragged on...and may fail prematurely.
eh. that is a tall order. chances are it won't happen w/a piggyback...
because that's what the JDM guys run?
seriously, they do remove compliance from the strut....and therefore allow the spring to do more work....making handling more predictable, yet adding more NVH.
depends on what you want.
as for the people having problems, it's a "new" product and the learning curve is steep....and most people don't invest the time to make it work right. they just want something to plug in a work (AKA your FCON....). not so w/virtually any piggyback out there.
do you...
if you have an '87 chassis, the trick would be to find an early '89 engine wiring harness as it should have the same body plugs on it and the later ECU plugs.
yups.
yups again. who cares about the GE? no oil squirters! the GTE should have changed over somewhere in '89....but i'd look for a '90+ block just to be sure. there's pix on mkiiitech.com (i think?).
sure.
looks like you need some stiffer springs. ;)
some OLD autox vids here:
http://www.4cefed.com/videos/
they're fairly boring....and use a weird codec.
werd.
redoing the gnds is especially important on a car as old as the MKIII....
i'm not a fan of a brazillian grounds.....stick to the stock locations, etc. with a large gauge and clean mounting points.
