I totally forgot about this thread but the issue has been solved for some time now. It turned out to be that the crank trigger wheel separated from the timing gear preventing the crank sensor from reading properly.

You don't absolutely NEED to change the tranny tho I would recommend it. If you decide to run the w58 that's already in it you'll need to buy a new bell housing. I believe the w58 will hold around 400ish hp? The axles will hold but depending on which diff you have I would also recommend changing...

Ok thanks for the info. I'll try removing the wastegate vacuum lines and see and carefully monitor the boost to see if it increases. I will also attempt to do a boost leak test and report back with my findings
