I went to HIN and was very disapointed that no MK3's were in the show, sadly my mk3 wasn't able to make it :(. Hopefully Next Year mines will be ready so I can enter it in and hopefully other mk3 owners will too.
I don't know that's possible lol never heard of a flywheel rubbing against the oil pan but I guess anything is possible. It might b a pain 2 flip the flywheel with everything on already good luck tho
yea it does sound like the starter try tapping it with a long wrench and the crank it. works better if yu have a friend tap while u crank. but u can't do this for ever you d need a new starter eventually. and one day tapping won't work and it will be completly dead.
could the vsv(fpu) cause a no pressure issue if it aint hooked up? just a random thought I'm going thru anything related to the fuel injection. evrything else seems to b fine cuz if I spray starter fluid in to the engine it will start up, no fuel leaks, I kno the pump is good because that's...
The fuel rail has fuel in it so I'm guessing the pump is good because I replaced a cooper seal which was leaking everytime I cranked the engine and now there are no visable leaks.
Ok I need some help with no fuel pressure. Could a loose cold start injector (1 bolt broke) cause no pressure causing no fuel getting into the cylinders. No fuel is leaking from anywhere, I'm just curious if that would cause a no pressure problem.
see wat I need to find out is if the back halfs of the w58 and the a-340 back half are the same length , because I put on the w58 front half onto my a340 back half because I was told that it would work but its still to short b about 2.75" give or take a little
OK i really need some help on this i was told that i could bolt the front half of the w58 driveshaft to my back half of my auto driveshaft and that it will fit good and take up the 3in's the auto DS was short by but when i go to bolt it up its still short by the same amount. :wtf::3d_frown:
also the 8th and 9th picture the black plug i think is your cold start injector plug (plugs to the cold start injector behind the intake manifold kind of underneath) and the 2 single wire plugs are the knock sensor plugs and i dont know about the red plug
Its a auto harness but it shouldn"t be a issue i just did a 7mgte and 5spd swap into my 89 NA and i connected 2 wires from one the transmission plugs (has 3 wires) but you also need the other end of that connection (comes from the tranny) you can go to the junkyard and take one off from a junk...
I'm a little confused on my auto to 5spd swap, I bought the front half of the w58 driveshaft to attach to the back half of the auto driveshaft cuz I was told that's all I needed but the 2 front half lengths look the same can some one post a pic of both next 2 each other
I believe driftmotion.com also has both steel and aluminum one piece driveshafts. The steel is around 350 and aluminum I think another 100 bucks extra, don't quote me on the price but its around there. I plan on buying the steel 1pc from there myself.
