    Valve shimming

Since the car is parked for the winter i decided it was time to check valve lash. I've got all the specs and procedure down but im still fiddling with this feeler gauge. Can anyone tell me if im supposed to base my measurements on the largest blade i can fit between the shim and cam lobe? Im...

    Single turby, water cooled plumbing?

I keep springing a leak where the turbo's coolant return line enters the water pump. The stock nipple on the water pump is slightly wider than those located on the upper water neck. 6AN (what im using) is slightly too small and 8AN is to large. I softened up the 6AN rubber with a heat gun and...

    Official emanage ultimate thread

i'm looking for a straight forward to the point description of how to properly replace the stock 1jz map sensor with the greddy 3 bar. Anybody have a link or willing to pm me with details? Done some basic interweb research, but all the descriptions are cluttered with garbage. Can't post on...

    Oil pressure Gauge wiring

I opened up put of the harness and traced the wire. At the point where it connects to the sender all the way up to the female side of the IG1 its more of a cream white w/ black stripe. There are a few wires in the engine harness sharing this same colour. But, on closer inspection you'll notice...

    Oil pressure Gauge wiring

I know this has been touched on in other threads but they dont seem to apply to my situation. So here goes: First of all this is a swap into a mz21 soarer so there isnt a yellow connector like in ma70's. I only seem to have one yellow w/ black stripe wire coming off the female side of the IG1...

    E-01 install ?

I ended up going with the only black w/ red dot wire i could find that fed into the ecu. Seeing as the tach signal from the ignitor is a black wire w/red dots. I havent had a chance to test it out yet. Any objections to this route? "and in CAR SELECT menu set the throttle sensor type as...

    E-01 install ?

For the E-01's rpm signal, can i just wire it to the rpm signal for the tach. Or is there any particular reason why greddy suggests wiring it to the ecu's rpm signal? I'm assuming that #18 pin on the white rectangle connector in the following link is what im after...

    LC-1 wideband install ?

I may just run my stock o2 sensor to the ecu, run the brown lc-1 wire(Analog 2, wideband at 0V=7.35 AFR and 5V=22.39) to my EMU and leave the yellow wire( Analog 2, 1.1V=14AFR and .1V=15AFR) I still may tee off the brown wire to give me a more precise reading on my dynotune monitor. From what...

    LC-1 wideband install ?

Im running a DynoTune A/F monitor with my lc-1 which means that i will be utilizing both analog outputs for signal to EMU and signal to monitor. Is there any harm in me "t-ing" off the narrowband simulation wire and running that to the stock ecu o2 wire? Or should i reinstall the stock...

    Need a part #

Already got the sensor. Picking up some coil clips from Champion and Mr. Toyota insists on a part number for this connector. Part number from whatever model, dont care as long as it works.
