    Machine Shops in YOUR area!

3 years ago, I had my head redone by Bryan Maloof Racing. He is now located in Clarksville, Georgia (about 115 miles from Ashville). I was very impressed with his expertise, equipment, careful attention to detail and accomplishments (extreme Mark 4 drag car and others). At that time he was very...

Hard to start, leaks gas like crazy!

Like the man said, run the fuel pump with a jumper on the diagnostic block. You don't need an SST. Just a jumper that will fit...a paper clip will work...might need to flatten the ends a little. This will show you the leak. From your picture, I would suspect the hose that connects the hard...

Three Bond Sealant 1324 for Drain Plug

TSRM says to use "08833-00070 Three Bond Sealant 1324" on Coolant Drain Plug on the block. Where can you get this stuff or is there an alternative? Thought I'd ask since Toyota always wants 3 prices for everything.

Can someone please identify this part- Flush/Fill connector

This appears to be a bleed off valve that someone has inserted in the heater hose to make it easy to "burp" the cooling system after refilling. This is a high point in the system (altitude wise) and so is a spot where air gets trapped. A couple of threads on the subject...

    rebuild

Right on both counts. Champion/Jay Marks Toyota is about 25% off and they have an 800 number. You should be able to avoid your local sales tax as well: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11116 See post #9 in thread below for good info on the valve aprings (post #7 is...

    little problem is turning HUGE

If you really want to maximize your MPG try keeping the VACUUM side of that boost gauge as high as you possibly can at all times. A vacuum gauge is actually a very sensitive MPG indicator. But then, if you are going to do this, why have a turbocharged Supra as your DD?

Heater hose that comes out of rear of head, Can find a place to buy it?

Get it from the dealer. As hard as it is to get to that hose, why would you buy a cheap hose? That to me is like buying cheap paint. Here is THE place: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11116

    shim plates and buckets

First, don't mistake a rod "knock" for a valve "tick", especially at that RPM range. Do a search on Rod Knock. Secondly, here are some links for adjusting valve clearances: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=7 http://jblmk3.com/miscinfo.php...

    Accordian hose

If you still want Cooleeze, his stuff is always on eBay. One at the Buy It Now price and one you can bid on. And cheaper there than on his own site. http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcooleeze

    Block tester accuracy.

Have you pulled the head off yet? Do you have access to an air compressor as JJ suggested? If not, you can even use a portable air tank and an electric tire pump. Pressurizing each cylinder (at TDC) is a very definitive way to confirm your suspicions of a BHG. Also, a hell of a lot easier...
