Bad news man. There is a tsb out, car gets re-ringed, and a head job. Big job, not cheap. Had 3 or 4 through the shop in the last year.

yup. and it has to be an imported JDM car that has been registered in the states with a US vin. Now confirmed that through two different dealerships trying to get me the part. Looks like Ill be getting one elsewhere

I have the part number. Have already tracked down all 13 in the States. Thats not the problem..they will not sell/ship them out to other dealerships (only way I can get my dealer discount) without a vin. garagefujimoto, thanks for the vin. Ill try it on monday when Im back at work with...

Im a tech at the local lexus dealership and Im trying to buy a Jz-R154 bellhousing new OEM for my 2jzmk2 swap. At my cost I get a great deal on it..only problem, they cancelled my order the day after saying that the only way to get them in the states is to provide a vin from a car that came...

Good to see some more Holsets being used...looking at putting a hx50 on my 2jNA-t swapped into my mk2..

Whens the next local get together? I wont be in my mk2 supra as its engineless awaiting this 2jz with holset/r154 combo, but would still totally be down for a get together if my oldschool dub is welcome..

Not my car but a member over on cs.com. I made an aluminum bumper beam, Definitely not the best for safety but it supports the bumper cover and is better than nothing. I am also trying out the old racer trick, get a hole saw and find every open spot of metal and make it into swiss...

Spray both sides of both pieces down with copper gasket coat and put them on. Torque the manifold down, and retorque after a heat cycle or two.

Picked my low low mileage one up outta a sc300 at the local U-pull yard... $152 for entire engine, harness, all accessories (had new starter and alt) and exhaust manifold... Early SC's are old enough to start showing up at some u-pull yards making this swap more cost effective.

Nice. I have a 2jz NA-t with 12cm HX35 and megasquirt fuel and spark going into my mk2. Will be running similar hardparts (2.5 IC piping, full 3" exhaust, good sized FMIC, and custom FFIM) Glad to see someone else went with a holset on a jz.

well keep the 5m if you boost it. You will love it. I got a 500whp 5m in the build right now. DIYautotune offers a plug and play megasquirt..well worth it. If you decide you want to boost it, contact me, I will probably have a good handful of stuff to do so. I will be watching this thread...
