Thanks! Some light trimming was required to get the fit just right but was 98% on the back side of the factory trim, I used bull nosed pliers and a razor blade. I unplugged the underseat amp because, the new scion headunit has its own built in amp and sounds way better. Kinda going LED crazy...
Yes Sir! Plug and play it is. Just unplug your factory amp and plug in your new head unit. The T1808 is awesome, but any scion radio will work. Snipping is required and some light sanding to get the scion logo off :-)
I fixed my "ruined" AFM. This sounds crazy but it does work. 1st fill air compressor up to 65-90 PSI then position your air attachment and nozzle above the smaller and shorter shaft at the far end of the AFM. Hold firmly and hit the little hole in the afm with the compressed air there will be a...
I love my new toyota head unit, the under seat factory amp is now unplugged and not in use, I added a 560 watts rms kenwood running thru a ten inch bazooka tube rated for 500 watts RMS. The sound quality is amazing. Great for metal! also good for rap but wow the difference is remarkable, total...
it works! but..... The check engine light comes on at idle, if I turn on the headlights it goes off and the idle increases just a hair. Driving down the road the service light goes off I'm really hoping its a wiring issue, or that the ECU is still learning Holy Crispy Crap 700 Bucks damn I guess...
60 psi of air pressure!!!! I was having issues getting any rpm's past 2500 after replacing the accordian hose, During the hose installation I thought I would be clever and clean up stuff, naturally i went with carb cleaner, :nono: i forgot that the AFM does not like this... So I filled it up...
The T1808 works beautifully! super easy to do just plug and play the old underseat amp is now unplugged it sounds way better an excellent upgrade love it!
Uh oh i already bought a scion head unit from ebay. Well I guess we will find out tomorrow. I hope i can get it working even if i have to bypass the externall amp. Any idea how many watts the factory amp is?
I am in the exact same situation, I want to replace my factory power amp and run some components in the doors, but I am going for a stock look with the scion t1808 head unit. Thanks for the pin out!
I checked the battery wires, the strap going to the coil packs, and the one back on the fire wall above the heat shield. I am going to get out the voltmeter and start doing continuity testing later, am I missing any other ground wires? After testing it some last night, it does it more with the...
When I press the brake pedal the stereo quits for a split second. The headlights flicker way down and the cluster lights dim ect. When I apply constant break pressure all is well. If I let off the pedal and hit it over an over again the stereo cuts out and the lights flicker. So far I have...
Does the 100 AMP ALT Fuse under the hood just pull out? I am down to nothing left but bare wires and they do not seem to be slid down over aything. The TSRM has shed no light I thought it would come:nono: out like all the other fuses, what am I missing here, I have even tried brute force so far...
The tsrm shows an electrical connector for the PPS on the steering rack, I am sitting here just waiting for the rain to letup so I can go check. Does the power steering pump need bled after a BHG? I did not see that in there, it would really be unlikely and piss me off totally if that pump went...
k my 91 turbo power steering worked awesome before BHG repair, now with that plug undone the pump groans and struggles badly, the thing was for sure plugged in before i did the BHG. Anyone ever figure this out? BUMP
I am reassembling after my first BHG. Under the intake manifold there is a series of vacuum lines on the 7mgte. The one in question is a hard line connected by some rubber hose to the main hard line that bolts to the front of the manifold. I am pointing at it in the picture I checked the tsrm...
