    '89 turbo feelers.

Thanks, I guess I'm not as smart as some folks. If you go to my profile I was able to get a scanned copy of the build sheet. There are also pictures of what I did to the engine bay and front end. And yes you are right, I probably should have just put it in the for sale thread. Is there...

    '89 turbo feelers.

To all loyal MKIII folks. I have been working on this project car, off and on since 2006 and have come to a point where I just can't continue. Being in the Navy, since 2006 I've moved the car from Florida to Washington state, and deployed five times. (I'm currently deployed) Got Married and...

    Jscspeed?

I was mistaken!!! I didn't get a low milage engine from Jscspeed it was Jspecautosports. I got an HKS down pipe from Jscspeed. Jspecautosports web site doesn't work anymore, if that says anything about them. Jscspeed is good! But, if you can get a better price somewhere else, do it.

    Jscspeed?

DM 9 times out of 10 will have what your looking for at a lower price. I don't know how they do it but, I always price check everything against DM. http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-arp203-4202.php Oh and my experience with Jscspeed, was not too good. About three or four years back I...

    Help with Maintenance

Wow, sweet find! Do not molest this car!!! Just enjoy it. I'm not a big fan of parking cars and not driving them but, I wouldn't just drive this gem to work every day. Drive it to church on Sundays, a weekend run to the mountains when the weather is good or, let your son take his date to...

    2008 Supra MKIII - Project 1BYDFALT

No, I'm too inconsistent with my progress. Being in the Navy I'm gone a lot and some times have six months to a year where I can't work on my car. I actually haven't worked on my car for a little over a year, shoot it may be two years now. I got married in January and am now on a...

    2008 Supra MKIII - Project 1BYDFALT

WOW! Just spent the last three days reading this thread from start to finish... AWESOME! Do not rush this. I've been working on my '89 since about the same time and I have wasted too much time and money trying to get it finished "soon" and out of the garage or on the road. You have almost...

    7M-GE transmission W58 to R154 Swap

What are the specifics in swapping a W58 with a R154? Searched and found a lot of info on the auto tranny to manual swap but, not the upgrade from W58 to R154 especially a R154 onto a stock 7M-GE. I'm looking to buy an unmolested, strait 86.5 hard top (I know...), high miles but engine still...

Not to worry, I know I stated that the '89 may be a rust bucket. That's not the case. Like I said it's all striped down now and no rust found. A little back story about the '90. It's been totaled! Literally by an insurance agency, that's why all the VIN's have been scrached out. Then to...

Well, it's been four years, a move across the country from Florida to Washington State, and two deployments (Navy), one in Japan for three months JUL07-SEP07 and one on the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71 for Seven months SEP08-APR09. Oh the car... Engine and head are...

    Rebuild or Replace?

I highly recommend braking down the engine and knowing what you are working with before you go and buy a low mileage JDM engine. Although it may seam like it will save you money and get you on the road faster, it will not! Take the thing apart and know what you have before you do anything...

Yeah, that's what I figured would be best. Thanks

    ARP Main bolts/wrong spot, move/re-torque

I’m going through the long process of rebuilding a 7M and using a small time machine shop. He's been machining motors a long time and all different types, but he's getting old... I went with the ARP stud kit with the bolts to facilitate the installation of the oil pump. The bolts are one...

    Performance Upgrade Question

Be carefull before you go and drop 1.5k on a motor and 500 for shiping. Get the motor open and inspected before you go and do that. A lot of those places just do a compression check and call it good. You can't always tell if the HG is blown by a compression check. I know I bought one and...

I've read this tread from beginning to end and I can't make any sence of it. You say you are having problems with communication... No wonder.

Ok guys, here's the deal. I have stumbled across two MkIII's, Yes two. One is a '90 7M-GTE Manual trany, Black mica, Targa, and one is a '89 7M-GTE Manual trany, Red, targa. The '90 looks like it's just going to be a Parts car even though the engine and body is in way better shape. (all...

    Numbers info

Thanks, I'll have a look but, I don't think the engine is the origonal. But, it may work. It's looking like I'm going to have to jump through lot's of hoops to get it licensed.
