I’m going through the long process of rebuilding a 7M and using a small time machine shop. He's been machining motors a long time and all different types, but he's getting old...
I went with the ARP stud kit with the bolts to facilitate the installation of the oil pump. The bolts are one main cap too far forward!:nono:
What would be the best way to put them in the right location? I'm thinking either one, just breaking those in the wrong location loose and re-lubing them then tightening them in the right location and torque all studs/bolts in sequence for good measure; or two, breaking all of them loose, putting the bolts in the right place, re-lubing and going through the entire torque sequence.
Any suggestions would be great.
