    ECU, Deceleration, and You!

^^^ JDub, that's excellent reading, practically all inclusive. Question - do you by chance have a link to info on more performance related operation and theory. Everything from stroking to forced induction to NOS and water/meth? Thanks - Andrew

    trouble after driving

The symptoms you decribed could be alot of things. You probably won't get many responses since you left your description so broad. If it just happened all of a sudden after running well prior to, my guess would be your ISC (Idle speed control) valve, buts thats purely a guess. I would start...

    BOV what's the point

I actually didn't mean it in as an insult, I was being serious. Be it due to lack of attention or a condition, a spell check function would help. To be honest, I didn't make it to the signature - I lost interest while trying to decipher the post. If what I said offended you Nash, then I...

    building 7m-ge to a turbo

^^ X2... Agreed... Its not only cheaper, but it's alot more involved than just getting "stronger components." If you're not a serious auto enthusiast/builder, then I would definately recommend just purchasing and dropping in a 7mgte... just make sure that you do your research and get all of...

    Code 22

You got it!! :icon_bigg Its your water temp sensor signal. Basically, the ECU is not receiving a signal from this particular sensor, so you either have a fault in the sensor itself, the circuitry between, or the ECU. :drink1: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/TechTips/engine_error_codes.aspx

=( I think I may have rod knock... help?

Might not be a bad idea to visit your local autoparts store and invest in a stethescope... that way you can REALLY hear what is going on in the area that you are investigating... Might help eliminate some of the guessing that we are all doing.:drink1:

    help with R154 tranny..

Yes, you'll have to remove the shift knob, but what JDub is referring to is the shift fork... it's the fork that seperates the clutch disk from the pressure plate when pressure is put onto the clutch. There is an access panel on the both sides of the R154 that can be unbolted so that you can...

    rebuild

You're doing the right thing. Like MDC said, the 7M is not the best motor to start on - in my opinion its primarily due to the difficulty in having the block machined correctly. So don't settle to just doing research on the forums... put just as much research and effort into your machinist...

    rebuild

I've got a question for ya, that may be sort of dumb... but not really. :naughty: You said that you're doing the MHG, and from your post it looks sounds as if you're doing it because of the high mileage... is my assumption correct? Do you know who did the last headgasket job? If so, do you...

    NA going Turbo by Drew

Yeah, this one may have had a blown head... the gasket that came off was composite and definatley old... I wouldn't have been surprised. I'm going to go ahead and do the rings, bearings and seals while I'm at it. Right now, I'm just stuck whether or not I'm going to invest in a MHG or not...
