you need to start by searching. you'll find answers to every question

Im sorry you must be new here, so welcome to SM. I believe he ment, sure ill help you, so anway in my build im getting ready to purchase a set of .040 over probe pistons from Aron at www.driftmotion.com. as far as build parts they should set you uip pretty nice. im also going to be using eagle rods, which are more often used then the more expensive pauter rods that are made for the 7m, but still hold up to your power needs and way beyond. But if your looking to only crank out 400HP, then a good factory bottom end will do. There are many parts out there for our cars, its very nice to have what little amount of aftermarket support given to us. Just visit a few of these sites, and goodluck!:biglaugh:

From what I have read on here stock bottom end plenty good for 400 hp... but major problems with the 7mgte block is the cylinder walls are not very thick between cylinders. so dont bore much.. block and head both need to be preped for MHG and you need ARP studs. And good valve job is all needed for the head. 550 injectors will hit the 400hp the stock 440s will but you be pushing them past their age..(from what i have read on here). Lexus maf and good tune... need the exhaust to flow with as little back pressure as you can get away with .. as in ditch the cats or go high flow cats....and 3 inch all the way out back..

Im sure many otheres will chime in to

Probe pistons - aaron has em
Eagle rods - suprarich has em for 400SHIPPED. you CANT beat that deal. you'd be stupid to pass on em for that price...

ARP Head studs and main studs - jscspeed.com
clevite bearings - suprastore has them for a SUPER cheap price. just call and order the size you need.

JSCspeed also has aftermarket timing belts for $75, and i've used gates belts before, and there top notch.

Either maft gen 2 for the wideband tracking, or a lex afm + 550 + SAFC + Wideband. and you'd be set for a while. I personally like maft gen 2 better for a budget fuel tuning setup.

then just search for who you want to rebuild your turbo. 3'' exhaust is a must. hard piping and a good intercooler can be found at driftmotion or ebay if you want. might think about getting a bigger and better oil cooler to replace the mini-stocker(never hurts to have extra cooling)

i hope you have at least springs on the car to get it off of the 4x4 mode though. haha.
