The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Update, CLEAR CODES whenever issues are addressed. Seems CPS, TPS, AFM codes make the TCCS retard timing even after things are fixed. I'm sure I read that in the past from Jetjock or someone of the like.... I keep playing with the cam and ig timing and getting close to a sweet spot, now...

    Race Ready 7M

I thought for a couple weeks that my engine was getting hot for no reason until i noticed the temp gauge was reading the TCCS's water temp sender, which has different resistance and so hopped the dash gauge about. I swapped connections at the senders and everything's good/stable.

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Thanks for that Jay^^^ For awhile there I was having ignition issues. Turned out that the wiring for the Aftermarket gauges were feeding positive into ground. I have been DDing my ride 140 plus miles/day for work this last week. The dash harness I switched in, needs to be repinned so that the...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

1 month update session lol My compression and rough running was due entirely to ignition grounds not connecting. I did have half of one coil die, so I got another set of used coils for the time being. The solution was to bond the coil pack plate with the ignitor internal ground, TCCS location...

    **dubs fresh 7m rebuild**

"I will put up pics soon" uh huh I see them, all white and blending with the background lol So your running with a maf and 550s, cool. Didn't changing your IC make a huge difference in response? Oh and my car runs, just need to smog it before risking my fun factor on the streets

I've had luck with splitting a rubber hose and installing over the o2 wires, on a local's supra. I doesn't look that bad, mr bling bling lol put some of that chinese finger trap looking hose sleeve (it's shinny) over the split hose, back to bling status :D

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

The supra runs pretty well right now. No leaks, beyond the powersteering rack, which is very very minimal. I've got my cams dialed well, vacuum approaching 15 mmHg at 800 idle. 2 issues. 1) Compression on the tester isn't fantastic. With the cams at 0 ad/ret, i was seeing 140 across, on a...

    Arknotts' 92 Teal Build

Glad to hear the maft pro is working out. What version keeps your ride stable?

    Race Ready 7M

Coolant is chemicals with pH levels, that change as they react. The reaction can create low voltages. Like a Lead plate battery. Seems your looking to slow down the reaction, while tying it to affecting the ground of the TCCS, which the TCCS measures for values during operation. A valid point...

Project Daily Drifter (56k... probably not)

I'm having good luck using "aviation" sealant, similar to the soft stuff for most motorcycle gaskets. Glad to see you've completed the oiling system. Please label your lines and block adapter appropriately in direction of flow and save yourself the headache I've lost 6 months to. Covering the...

Having the stock heat shield on the turbine housing, and on the exhaust manifold has helped me avoid melting 02 wiring.

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

I helped, he did most of it himself. I do have my motor back. I'm still finagling with the cams, my ignition timing is off. So far its been retarded and a dog or too advanced and surging when in gear and below 1700. Cold idle oil pressure is 40, i see 60 anytime about 2k. warm idle pressure...

The "Hurry Up and Wait" build

Thanks Charlie. Still starting your Supra every now and then? Its really beautiful. If drivers weren't such punks these days, you be more willing to show her off, no??? ;) On my end, word today from the shop is that the head and block need to be mated, then its MINE again hehe I've got a...

No kidding... That was the 6 puck ACT disc with their HD pressure plate? 'Course if the rear main seal was letting go, I can understand the underwhelming performance there.

    Race Ready 7M

Van, Is there any reason your still using the ct 26? Bracket racing or the such? The 7m will feel much different after enlarging the turbine housing even a little bit. Find someone local with a larger bolt on affair to try out.
