i to am looking at getting a masterpower T70 .68 a/r but i also have a load more fuel than u guys so far :p aeromotive A1000 pump, 880cc PTE and Map ECU management and EVC for boost. i dont care about streetable, any turbo is streetable it just requires a little throttle control haha. i was shooting for a 700hp mark but at the same time get a good fast spool, i hear the .68 should due it but i dont know, i'd almost go with a little bigger one.

i dont really think you have planned your set up all the way out specially for 700hp it good that you have the fuel to dump but there is a lot more than fuel to a 700 build. there is no way in hell that .68 will make anywhere close to 700 without wishing upon a shooting star. I just dont think that MAP ECU has what it takes to make it to 700 but i could be wrong.

In general a smaller AR housing if unless you plan on getting BIG numbers...IE over 700 or revving high. The smaller housing will kill power if you rev a lot over stock i would think

An old thread but as I'm getting very good hp numbers from my Masterpower T70, I would like others to know they can make good power with the right supporting mods. Not a 7M though as I have a 2JZ Mkiv with 272 Crower cams, +1mm valves, porting, custom intake, 80mm TB, 6Boost manifold, 4" exhaust.

Here is my 680rwhp dyno results at 26psi with 100 RON fuel (about 96 MON). This is with a high stall TH400 and on a dyno equivalent to a Dyno Dynamics which reads lower then Dynojets do.

The T70 is a very different turbo to the GT45 series turbo so you cannot easily compare the two turbos.

The GT45 is a big frame turbo whereas the T70 is a small frame turbo.

The GT45 (MP4598 series) has a 68.9mm compressor wheel compared to the T70 with 69.1mm so pretty similar wheel inducer sizes. The GT45 has a much bigger compressor wheel exducer size though at 97.9mm vs 91.0mm for the T70 so I would expect the GT45 compressor wheel to flow as much or more then a T70. The GT45 also has a much bigger exhaust side with a 77.5mm wheel vs the T70 with a 67.0mm wheel (Q-trim which is the largest option) so that should also allow for higher hp results from the GT45.

The T70 is a great little turbo and I am really surprised with how much hp the T70 does make. I have recently changed to E85 and will see what the T70 will make at 28-30psi in the next month or so.

What Ar do you have on the rear V8KILR I have a mpt70 on mine I really did think i got a .84 t3 but maybe its a .69 gotta see If I can find my original info on it. But Im getting mine retuned for 4&R's in Feb currently around the 360-385kw mark (lowest and Highest figures from separate events) at 17psi going to see what I can get on pump gas then switch to ethanol but I would like to see If I can get 450KW will have to see whats holding me back at the higher level as to date the hold back was fuel.

Now have bigger FPR, 1200cc injectors, twin pumps and -8 fuel line

with standalone, toda cams 264/272 split, forged big intake yadayadayada

Old tune

I was gonna type that but was too much work to correct him. Thank you for that info, spot on.

I also am running the MP-70

Made 508rwhp at 18psi.(14.7psi creeps to 18psi by 7500) on my 1jzgte last month. On a .68ar

Going back on Jan 22nd for the 28-30psi. I now have a .81ar housing on with shimless buckets. 8500-9000 rev is where I wanna be.

I have a T4 0.84 Q-trim divided housing on mine at the moment. This size was never offered by MP (only the T3 had this AR) so I bought a Garrett copy in P-trim and had it machined out to Q-trim. I will probably go back to my original MP T4 1.00 divided housing soon, once I install the higher stall converter I have bought in to the car.

Looking forward to seeing your next dyno results.

Changed to E85 and have a new higher power figure for the Master Power T70 of 762whp at 27psi through my TH400.

For just about anything over 450rwhp you need to go standalone. Cant even go MAFTPRO, Maftpro wont be very kind to you with injectors larger than 680. You would need some 780s, or 880s for the power level you want.

You nailed it with this statement....period.....you can use a piggy back "BUT" a stand alone is way better than any piggy back for best performance and ultimate control. Back in the day I had Emanage VPC doing things and even though the MAFTPRO and other piggy backs are more advanced a standalone will be your best bet period.

What's good Nick!
